MLOA Membership
The Manitoba Lodges and Outfitters Association (MLOA) is a business organization in the resource based tourism industry whose membership consists of hunting, fishing and adventure lodges and outfitters in Manitoba and industry suppliers.
Lodge and Outfitter Membership
To become a member of the Manitoba Lodges and Outfitters Association (MLOA), a lodge or outfitting operation must first be licensed by the provincial licensing body, adhere to an industry Code of Ethics and Sustainable Tourism Development.
Memberships are based on an annual fee that supports the Association in fulfilling its mandate and in turn offers the individual member a wide variety of tangible and intangible membership benefits.
Membership Benefits:
- Take part in an Association of your peers, an Association that is recognized by the Government as the voice of the resource based tourism industry in Manitoba. One that effectively monitors, influences, advocates and promotes changes that affect our industry.
- Become involved, take an active role and contribute to the decision and policy making of the Association and industry. Each member has the opportunity to bring forward industry issues and resolutions and equally vote on all issues and resolutions that come before the Annual General Meeting.
- Take advantage of the opportunity to attend the Annual General Meeting and Convention held every December, participate in the decision making process, meet other lodge operators and outfitters with common interests, enjoy an evening banquet and fundraiser and network with numerous industry partners, government officials, Ministers and organizations.
- Obtain vital information and updates on current and potential industry issues, industry opportunities, special services and products and numerous resources that will assist you in your day-to-day operations.
- Receive our quarterly MLOA newsletter featuring up to date industry issues, news and events, proposals, reports, resolutions, businesses and items for sale, allied members list and buyers guide.
- Increase your external marketing opportunities, exposure and services through our enhanced web site development and positioning. Receive a free listing on the MLOA web site showcasing your product, service or destination through our member locator.
- Have a direct voice on the national level to deal with federal issues through the Canadian Federation of Outfitter Associations (CFOA).
- Enjoy exclusive member discounts on numerous products and services like hotels, sporting goods and taxidermy through our participating allied members.
- Gain special member pricing on insurance, a long distance phone plan and health and dental plan for you and your employees.
The MLOA has continued to increase its membership and represents the majority of the resource based tourism industry in Manitoba. By becoming a member and promoting membership within your reach, our voice will increase and it will allow us to effectively influence positive change and sustainability within our industry.
Allied Membership
Allied members are industry suppliers who support the Manitoba Lodges and Outfitters Association through membership and participation.
Our allied members offer a wide variety of products and services to lodges and outfitters, which is an essential and unique relationship that benefits both sides. Allied members gain access to an exclusive market and industry that require a diversity of products and services for their everyday operations.
The Association strongly encourages members to support allied businesses and offers allied members a variety of effective and efficient channels to promote their businesses from within.
